Minneapolis’s Attack On Civil Liberties!

Published by rlrwk under Uncategorized Edit This

bush_burns_constitution.jpgWhile Americans slept peacefully in their beds, believing their basic freedoms were protected and secure in the land of the free, resident’s of  Minneapolis were learning the truth about Big Brother in America.

Teams of 25-30 police officers in riot gear raided random homes of people who  they suspected of planning a protest. The officers entered the home with weapons drawn and refused to show the home owners proof of a search warrant. In some cases the residents were handcuffed while the raids took place. Journals, political pamphlets, and computers were seized. Of those people whose home was searched only  a few were detained. Those detained were charged only with “conspiracy to commit riot”.

The police also arrested people meeting in public to plan a demonstration. These people were charged with fire code violations.

It is obvious that St. Paul is attacking citizens who use or plan to use their right to  assemble and their right to free speech.  This behavior is unconstitutional and needs to be stopped immediately! Yet, this story has barely made the news. Think your civil liberties are protected? Think again!
